You are doing a great job.

It is not surprising that there is a strong correlation between recognition and retention, right? This goes back to what I always say, that people want to feel like they matter and that they are a part of something that matters. In fact, Gallup's most recent data shows that when organizations practice meaningful recognition, their team members are 45% more likely to still be at the company after two years.

Why does retention matter? It matters financially of course- It is expensive to replace an employee. The data shows that it can cost an organization up to 200% of that employees salary to replace them. And the damage is felt on a non-tangible level as well- sometimes the impact that an employees departure can have on an organization's culture has an even greater effect on the bottom line.

So, are you practicing meaningful recognition with your team? Is it personalized, non-biased and authentic?

Way to go. Well done. Thank you. We appreciate you. Kudos. Bravo. Good job.

However you say it, just make sure that you do.

Recognize your employees and they will stick around longer. People want to feel like they matter and they are part of something that matters. It's the little things that make a big difference.

And if no one has told you yet today- You are doing a great job!
